What is the 3D scanning?

A surveying process for data collection about the shape, the exterior of an object or a space. The first result of the scan is a point cloud.

Nowadays 3D scanning is the newest, fastest and most accurate technology. A 3D point cloud can be made with millimeter accuracy, so it shows a shape very close to reality with real volumetrics.
This 3D laser scanning, beside the speed and accuracy, is also advantageous because needs only one trip to the site, and the cloud of points on the computer reproduces to the greatest extent the real situation of the surveyed object.
